Patricia Lyons Obituary 2023

Patricia Vick Deese Lyons passed away November 28, 2023, at home in Smyrna, DE surrounded by family. Born May 16, 1949, in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Farrior) and Cecil William Deese of Arkansas.

She was a Mount Pleasant High School and University of Delaware graduate. After college she then married Jon Lyons and moved to Pennsylvania, where they spent 50 happy years. While raising their two children she worked at the Church of Apostles' church office and later spent 20 years working for a law firm in Lancaster, PA. She and her husband then retired to Smyrna, Delaware. In her retirement she enjoyed walking, sewing, needlework, puzzles, reading, going to the beach, traveling, and all of the many family and friend gatherings.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Jon Grantland Lyons and her two children: Trisha Bozovich and her husband Bryan of Indian Lake, PA and Patrick Lyons of Mechanicsburg, PA along with her sister Katharine Tempelaar-Lietz and husband John of Asheville, N.C., and five grandchildren: Addison, Helena and Lily Lyons, and Deborah and Grant Bozovich.
