Surnames: ELMORE, CRADDOCK, SAXON
I would like to find more information on Ann (Nancy) Elmore Craddock Saxon, who was b. about 1756 in Prince Edward Co., VA and died after July 9, 1837 in Autauga Co., AL. She was the sister of Gen. John Archer Elmore. Her first marriage was to Edmund Craddock. Her second marriage was to James Saxon. A son by her 2nd marriage, Benjamin Wadsworth Saxon, is found in Autauga Co.
I am descended from her son, Thomas Elmore Craddock, b. 1781 in VA, m. 1808 to Hannah Cook in Warren Co., KY, moved to Madison Co., MO about 1816, and died in Yuba Co., CA in 1869.
Note 2
Thomas Craddock came to California from Madison County, Missouri. For sure he brought with him his youngest 2 sons, Edmund and Caleb Craddock. His daughter Margaret Ann Johnson and her children may have came with him, but maybe came later, because her husband had died in Mo. She and most of her children died in Calif.
