Abraham was born in 1784 in Virginia, the son of Abraham Bird and Mary Jones.

He died in 1860 in Baton Rouge, Lousiana.

His wife was Mary Bowie, who he married in ABT 1810. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Thompson W (1812->1875), John Abraham (1816-1866) and Mary (1819-1879).
