Sarah was born on 11 Mar 1810 in Tennessee, the daughter of Richard 5 Flynt and Eleanor Clayton.

She died on 9 Feb 1885 in Hardeman County, Tennessee.

Her husband was Joel Ferguson, who she married on 11 Feb 1834 in Hardeman County, Tennessee. Their seven known children were William (1836-?), Richard C (1840-1856), Mary Elizabeth (1842-1936), James Polk (1845-1888), Joseph Stephen Flynt (1848-1874), Thomas Leonidas (1851-1915) and Sarah Ann Eliza (1853-1939).

Item 2nd. My wish and desire is that my son Stephen C Flynt and my daughter Sarah V. Ferguson xxxx xxxxxthe property xxxxx grown by Mr Consetting of four hundred & fifty dollars in cash. Cow & calf Bill & furniture each.

Item4th............,and other property willed to my older children that have left the family.

Item 7th I do hereby numerate and appoint my son in law Joel Ferguson & my son Joseph B Flynt-my true and lawful Executers to dispose of my property as above denoted. My wish is that they take charge of and retain in their possession the property of my two grand children until they become of age.
