Daniel was born on 20 Jul 1812 in Cambridge Maryland, the son of Edward V Lloyd and Sally Scott Murray.

He died on 1 Jan 1875 in Cambridge, Maryland.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Virginia Upshur, who he married on BEF 22 NOV 1832. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Ann Steel (1834-?), Edward (1835-?), Arthur Upshur (1837-1838), Daniel (1839-?) and Upshur (1842-?).

His second wife was Catherine Henry, who he married on 3 FEB 1846 in Dorchester County, Maryland. Their two known children were Mary Campbell (1848-?) and Kate Henry (1849-?).
