Notes

Note 1

named in mother Ann Saxon's will 1837

So far all documents including his mother's will, have indicated first name is normally spelled "Benjamin" and there is no "e" at end. I suspect the "e" may have been added by Uncle Bobby when he first begain his research..

also may refer to http://www.gravesfa.org/gen570.htm

this site may mirror ours or taken from Mary Makima work.

it seems to be secondary in nature.

Note 2

3 Simmons, childred of Holman Freeman married 3 Saxons, children of Ben W Saxon the tavernkeeper.

H Felix Simmons and Mary Theodora Saxon

Susan Burns Simmons and Walter Terry Saxon

Henry Clay Simmons and Mable Antonette Saxon

All of these were in Jackson County Arkansas, at least for a while between 1860 and 1900. Others from H Felix Simmons family in Jackson County during that time include his mother Eliza Burns Simmons, brothers Joseph Bibb, Henry Clay, and probably Robert Simmons.
