Susannah was born about 1843 in Wright Twp, Green Cty, Indiana, the daughter of unknown parents.^{[Note 1]}

She died about 1919 in probably Arkansas.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Harmon Gravenmier, who she married on 29 OCT 1871 in Green Cty, Indiana. Their nine known children were Charles M (1872-c1906), John Henry (1874-?), Eliza Ellen (1877-1965), Harmon (1879-1879), Harry (1880-1881), Melvin Walter (1882-1963), Emma G (1884-1897), Andy E (1886-1939) and J.B. (1888-?).

Her second husband was A. M. Henness, who she married on 3 NOV 1894 in Olyphant, Jackson Cty, Ark. They had no known children.
