Sources: 1. Title: Descendants of Francis Le Baron of Plymouth, Mass.

Author: By Mary Le Baron Esty Stockwell

part of my confidence in the line from Marquerite DeWolf Theobald thu Caroline Dexter DeWolf to Francis LeBarron De Wolf it that Peggy Wiemers <Marquerite Theobald Lloyd> lived with grandparents John Eager Lloyd and Marquerite DeWolf Theobald from very early child hood until she married after high school. It is reasonable that her interest in family genelogy and knowledge of her ancestors came from that time with grandparents.

Peggy pointed out the DeWolf family tree in "Mount Hope" and knew her line of descent was thru #84 "Don Marcos" DeWolf and #25 Captain Jim DeWolf.

note also that Caroline Dexter DeWolf lived with her grandmother Sophie, apparently for a long period of time.

Death: Mar. 21, 1851 Bristol Bristol County Rhode Island, USA

Second genration ship Captain from the famed De Wolf family of Bristol, Rhode Island, son of James "Captain Jim" De Wolf who was a lucrative sea captain as well as a Rhode Island Senator. This family engaged in privateering, politics and founded many of the educational and non-educational industries of the town as it formed throughout the early 1700's.The family name goes through changes in each generation from DeWolfe, to De Wolf, deWolfe, and D'wolf. But rest asured they are the same venerated family that started with the patriarch, Mark Antony deWolf b.(1726-1793)who is buried in Juniper Hill with several other family members in Juniper Hilll Cemetery in Bristol. This family cemetery is on property formerly owned by James De Wolf, known as "the Mount". Mark Antony IV is known as "Don Marcos", because he spent much of his life at his plantation in Cuba.
