Samuel was born on 22 Jan 1828 in Georgia, the son of Thomas Walker and Nancy Anges Thornbury.

He died on 2 Aug 1919 in Marion County, Alabama.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Harriett K Odell, who he married on 28 DEC 1848 in Murray County, Georgia. Their only known child was Martha S (1852-1920).

His second wife was Francis A. Dantzler, who he married in ABT 1858. The place has not been found. They had no known children.

Note 1

Mr. Walker was killed on the main street of Hackleburg, when he was backed over by an auto driven by Mr. Quillen, a store owner. Mr. Walker was deaf. Mr. S.A.G. Walker served as 4TH Sergt. Co. E 5th Ala. Cav. Regt. From 9/9/1862 until end of war in 1865.
