Larry Joseph Thomason “Uncle Sonny”, 77, of North Little Rock, Arkansas was born December 19, 1939 in Lonoke County to Clay and Edna Thomason. He passed away Friday, June 02, 2017. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and an avid Razorbacks fan up until the time of his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Sherrill Thomason and sister Mary Thomason Calhoun.

Larry is survived by a brother, Gene Thomason of Ozark; sisters Barbara Mavity of Beebe and Kay Lynn of Sherwood; many nieces and nephews; and one special friend, Jimmy Lee Linder.

Visitation will begin at noon Monday, June 5, 2017 at Wattensaw Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Wattensaw Cemetery.

Sherrill Ross Thomason, 61, of White Hall passed away January 26, 2002 at his home.

He was born November 15, 1940 to Joseph Clay and Edna Foster Thomason in Lonoke, AR. They moved to Desha County in 1950, where he attended Desha Central High School. Sherrill served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960-1966. Upon the leaving in the Marine Corps, he farmed in Kelso with his father for several years. He married Kathy French on July 13, 1973, they owned and operated Thomason's Grocery in Pine Bluff for 25 years. In October 2000, Mr. Thomason was the recipient of the Community Service Award in recognition for outstanding commitment to Barnes Community.

Mr. Thomason was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy Thomason; one daughter, Dwana (Chris) Lee of McGehee, AR; one son, SSgt. Larry (Aimee) Duke of Pine Bluff, AR; two brothers, Larry Thomason of Sherwood, AR, and Norris (Sharon) Thomason of Granite City, IL; three sisters, Barbara (Lonnie) Mavity of Beebe, AR, Mary Thomason of Ft. Worth, TX and Kay Jester of Pine Bluff, AR; three grandchildren, Krystle and Ross Lee and Shelby Duke; and a special niece Shannon Thomason.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Ralph Robinson and Son in Pine Bluff, AR with Rev. Bobby Matthews and Rev. John Akers officiating.

Burial services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff AR and military rites will be given by the United States Marine Corps Detachment of Little Rock, AR and the Thaddeus H. Caraway VFW Post # 2278 of Hot Springs, AR.

The family requests that all memorials be made to the Hospice Inc. of Pine Bluff or the American Cancer Society.
