He died on 7 Jun 1965 in Cook County, Illinois.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Susan Augusta Blanding, who he married on 17 JUN 1895 in Vineland, Cumberland County, New Jersey. Their three known children were John Kellogg (1901-1968), Eleanor Freeman (1904-1984) and Susanne (1909-1982).

His second wife was Lenore C. Rambo, who he married on 7 DEC 1922 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. They had no known children.

Professor Emeritus Victor R. Gage, 72, of Highland Road, died in Memorial Hospital.

He received his degree of mechanical engineer from Cornell University in 1906 and his master's degree in mechanical engineering in 1912. In 1923 he was appointed professor. He was a member of the faculty in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Cornell for over 42 years, retiring in 1950.

He was author of "A Study of Airplane Engines" and several other publications for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics.

Prof. Gage was a member of the zoning board for Cayuga Heights, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society of Automotive Engineers and Hobasco Lodge 716 F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Heath Gage; a daughter, Miss Victoria Gage, Wilmington, Delaware; a brother, John S. Gage, Palatine, Illinois; nieces and nephews.

Masonic rites were conducted by the Hobasco Lodge 716 F. & A. Masons in the Wagner Funeral Home. Interment was in East Lawn Cemetery.

Bearers: Arthur Kulp, Robert Eastman, Russell Martin, George Peter, Koeth Mann, and Gil Hart.

Mrs. Helen Heath Gage of Wilmington, Delaware, died in Wilmington Hospital. She was the wife of the late Prof. Victor R. Gage.

She was a member of Pi Beta Phi, the D.A.R., the Mary Hibbard Aides of the Reconstruction Home, the Campus Club and was a founder of the Cornell Brides' Club.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, in Wilmington. Graveside services will be held in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca. The assistant rector, the Rev. Michael Wilson of St. John's Episcopal Church will officiate. The wagner Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Helen V. Gage of 107 Stratton Dr., Canterbury Hills, Delaware, died in that city. She was a former resident of Ithaca.

She was a daughter of Helen Heath Gage and the late Victor R. Gage.

At one time, Helen Gage was a member of the research staff at the Hercules Powder Company in Wilmington, Delaware.

She is survived by her mother.

Funeral services will be held in the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, in Wilmington. A brief prayer service will be held in the Wagner Funeral Home. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
