Mary Ella Simmons married the eldest son of William and Eliza Jane (Blackwood) Mallory from Choccolocco, Alabama. They moved to Jackson County, Arkansas where William served as the first treasurer of Jackson county School District No 39, Breckenridge Township following its creation in 1868.
