Canaiza Bowie's obituary in Newport 24 June 1906 named grandson Fred
referred to as Arthur's favorite nephew, special relation.
Even as a boy, Bobby Bowie knew Fred but didn't realize he was a relative for a long time.

Note also in her letter to Bobby Bowie, Aunt Ruby said that Fred Seaton was half brother of Arthur Bowie. Arthur probably wrote Caniza obit, named her his mother and Fred as her grandson. Cora in Fred’s death certificate name Alice Bowie as his mother.

Fred died at Veterans hospital in Memphis. Hospital call Cora Bowie and offered to bury him -apparently in Memphis area. Cora brought him back to Newport and buried him beside her son Buddy in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
