1892 page 95 Ellis, Margaret Dickson - Died, at her home on the 9th inst.,five miles east of Bentonville, Mrs. Margaret Ellis, age 77 years of la grippe and old age, widow of David Ellis, who preceded her twenty-two years.
She was a daughter of Joseph Dickson, twin brother to Robert Dickson, sho was well known as on of the first settlers of Bentonville. She was born in Middle Tennessee in 1815; went to Central Illinois when a child with her parents where she lived until 1867 when she came to this county and settled on the farm where she and her husband died.
“Aunt Peggy” has been a member of the Christian church from her youth.
