Lucy Angeline Wheeler Pipes Find A Grave Memorial# 71032821
Birth: Dec., 1831 Bedford County, Tennessee, USA
Death: unknown
Lucy Angeline Wheeler was born in about December, 1831, in Bedford County, Tennessee, a daughter of Jesse Wheeler and Sarah “Sallie” Oslin.
She was first married to William B McGuire, a widower with several children, (reportedly) on January 7, 1848, in Limestone County, Alabama; and that marriage was reportedly blessed with five children:
Mollie (about 1848 - ????)
Sarah P (about 1852 - ????) who married John W Gray in 1870
Cornelius W (1855 - 1901 ) and was apparently called “Rufus” as an adolescent but was later known as “Neal” (See #6162602) ??? C.W. and Rufus different people?? Census 1870,Limestone has Cornelius age 16 with Lucy A Maguire age 38 Tenn and Viloa age 5 and also Rufus McGuire age 15 with George Pipe 23 and Angeline age 37.
Louisa H (about 1859 - ????)
Viola (about 1862 - ????)
She was widowed when William B McGuire passed away in about 1866; and she then married her second husband, George Washington Pipes, on July 2, 1870. That marriage was blessed with three children:
Martha Iona (about 1871 - 1913)
James Johnson ( about 1873 - 1957)
Un-named Female (born & died about 1880)
George W and Angeline Pipes reportedly migrated into Van Zandt County (from Limestone County, Alabama) in 1892; and they were enumerated in Van Zandt County during the U S Census of 1900, along with their son, James J Pipes. That 1900 Census indicates that Angeline had born a total of eight children; but only four were still living at that time ... probably being Martha, Cornelius, Viola & James.
No precise date of death for Angeline Pipes has yet been discovered; but George was enumerated as a widower in the subsequent Census of 1910. That evidence suggests that she passed away sometime during the time interval between the 1900 and 1910 censuses.
